Campaign Design

Man to Man

Overview

To celebrate two years since graduating, I’m revisiting this old university project that I felt didn’t quite hit the mark visually. With a fresh perspective and sharper design skills, I’m giving it an update to better reflect my growth and current creative direction.

Approach

Man to Man is a campaign aimed at men who struggle to talk about their mental health. It uses eye-catching, informative visuals that reflect the confusion and chaos of modern masculinity, placed in familiar social spaces to spark meaningful conversations.

Reflections

The original brand aimed to stand out in busy bars with bold, attention-grabbing visuals. While that goal remains, shifting from a harsh “warning” yellow to a warmer, more inviting red has softened the overall tone. Confusion and chaos represented by rough collage was key theme to keep, removing the saturation allows the imagery to appear more cohesive while still maintaining randomness.

Although visually striking, the original logo has some legibility issues that needed to change. the "to" was too small compared to the other letters, and the tails of the speech bubble get lost at small scale. I wanted to keep the text stacked to maintain a good XY ratio. The new logo's curves feels more friendly, and human characters help it to feel more relatable and approachable.
